Tour Divide Training
Tour Divide Training Plan and/or Wish 2025 It will be loosely based on the Uphill Athlete program with some Stephen Seiler philosophy mixed in. In both cases, easy riding will be the majority of my training. I will start a base period in December, and my first priority is to increase volume. I plan to start with 10 hours a week, increasing each week's volume by 10%. I'll take a rest week every fourth week where I will ride half of the previous week's time. All of these rides in the "base" period will be easy unless I'm feeling like I want to push it a bit. After my aerobic threshold is within 10 percent of my anaerobic threshold, I will begin to add more structured intensity in the form of 20 minute intervals. I will plan on increasing the number of these 20 minute intervals gradually each week. Once the total duration of these 20 minute intervals reaches 10 percent of my weekly volume, I'll start to introduce 4 minute intervals. Hopefully at this point w...
